- SineFilozofi – 10th Anniversary Special Issue Call for Articles
Preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026, Cinephilosophy bears both the excitement and the responsibility of reaching the tenth year of its intellectual journey at the intersection of cinema and philosophy. At this meaningful milestone, we are preparing a 10th Anniversary Special Issue with texts that trace the cinephilosophical perspective that the journal has been advocating since day one, confronting it, pushing its boundaries and reshaping it.
Throughout the decade, Cinephilosophy has grown and enriched with an interdisciplinary understanding and with original contributions from fields such as fine arts, social sciences and cultural studies, as well as cinema and philosophy. This journey, which prioritises thought, takes poetic intuition seriously and explores the ontological depth of cinema in philosophical layers, opens the door to new sensations, concepts and orientations while looking back to the past.
With this special issue, we invite you to rethink the relationship between cinema and philosophy and to search for new possibilities of meaning in today’s sensory regimes.
Our aim is not only to trace the traces of the past, but also to create paths of free thought from these traces that lead to today and tomorrow. We are looking forward to your original, layered and striking articles that redefine the lively tension between cinema and philosophy.
